By registering and participating in any yoga class, event, retreat or workshop you agree automatically to the following General Terms & Conditions, without explicitly signing any designated forms:
-
Yoga classes are a safe space. I understand that if I disrespect this safe space and/or my fellow yogis, I might be excluded from joining classes, retreats or workshops.
Yoga is a mindful practice. Please treat each other, the materials and the space where we practise with kindness and respect.

As participant, I understand that my insurance is my own responsibility. I am not covered by the yoga instructor and their agents, guides, affiliates, and associates.
By registering and participating in any yoga class, event, retreat or workshop you agree automatically with the following, without explicitly signing any designated forms:
As participant,
1) I recognise that the workshops, retreats, events, and the yoga/meditation classes for which I have registered may require physical and mental effort. I further understand and acknowledge that despite the great amount of care the instructor takes, the workshops, retreats and yoga /meditation classes may expose me to inherent risks, including accidents, injury, and so forth. I assume all risk of injuries associated with my participation in the retreats, workshops and yoga classes.
2) I understand that it is my full responsibility to consult a physician/doctor prior to and regarding my participation in the retreat, workshop and the yoga classes.
3) I understand that I take full responsibility for my practice and I am aware that I should practice mindfully.
4) I understand that the level of my participation and the exercises I do must be determined by myself, in consultation with my doctor, and that the instructor cannot fully control the extent of my participation.
5) I understand that the instructor is not a doctor, nurse or emergency care provider and that in providing this exercise program, the instructor assumes no responsibility for my medical condition(s). Should my health condition change, I understand that it is my responsibility to discontinue the exercise program and to immediately consult my doctor about continuing or resuming participation in this program.
6) I understand the nature and extent of the yoga exercises in which I am participating and that, while performing those exercises, I could sustain bodily injury. I am nevertheless voluntarily agreeing to participate in the exercise program and perform those exercises conducted by the instructor.
7) I will inform the yoga instructor about any medical conditions I may have, such as unordinarily high or low blood pressure, asthma, bronchitis, cardiovascular diseases, any recent surgeries, pregnancy, pain and inflammations, trauma, depression etc. The instructor relies on your information and might make a confidential note in their electronic system to ensure that this information about any health issues is not forgotten and can provide alternative options or sustainable modifications if required. Please also inform the instructor if you prefer not to be touched or have any specific alignments that preclude hands-on adjustments.
8) I understand that from time to time during Yoga Classes, the instructor may physically adjust students’ form and posture, and I hereby accept receiving such adjustments. If I do not want such physical adjustments for any reason whatsoever, notably because of an injury, or any other personal reason, I will so inform the instructor at each class I attend. I also acknowledge that if I do wish to receive such adjustments, it is my responsibility to inform the instructor when an adjustment has gone as far as I desire at that time.
9) I hereby take full and sole responsibility for any liability of loss or damage to personal property associated with the Retreats, the Yoga Classes or Workshops I participate in.
10) I understand that as a participant, I must respect the space and materials where the courses, workshops and retreats take place, and I, therefore, assume full responsibility for any damage I may cause (through my fault or inadvertence) to the studio, space or retreat facilities where I am staying. As a participant, it is my responsibility to take out adequate insurance and I hereby assume full and sole responsibility for any damage caused (intentionally or unintentionally) to the materials or venues associated with the retreats, yoga classes or workshops in which I participate.

If you have any medical or psychological conditions, it’s important you let the yoga instructor know so that extra arrangements can be made, if necessary. You can do this when signing up or through the contact form of this website.
If you have any injury or problem whatsoever (including but not limited to injuries, heart problems, back or neck problems, asthma, epilepsy, ulcer, hernia, high blood pressure, and so forth), you should immediately inform the instructor. In any case, whether you have disclosed or have not disclosed such injury or problem, you fully understand that if despite your injury or problem you still decide to participate in the yoga classes, workshops or retreats you are participating fully at your own risk.
If you are pregnant, you understand that you participate fully at your own risk and that of your unborn child/children.
The instructor and its agents, guides, affiliates and associates have the right to disqualify any person at any time before and during the course, retreat or workshop if they consider that the participant is mentally or physically incapable of continuing and/or if the continued participation of a course member jeopardises the safety of the group or the participant's own safety. The authorised person reserves the right to offer alternative activities in cases where the yoga teacher feels that the participant is mentally or physically unable to complete the activities planned for the day.
The instructor is not a doctor and is therefore not responsible for any medical advice, or medication that you or your doctor consider necessary for you to participate safely.
The Authorised Person assumes no responsibility for the provision of medical care. By registering and accepting these terms and conditions, you agree to pay in the event of the need for emergency evacuation and emergency medical care.

Travel insurance is not included in the retreats, workshops or classes. Although trip cancellation insurance is not compulsory, it is strongly recommended that you take out trip cancellation insurance to protect your investment in the event that you have to cancel your trip. Trip cancellation insurance may be the only way to obtain reimbursement of flights and other non-refundable expenses if the event is cancelled for any reason.
It is the responsibility of the participant to double-check any ID / Visa requirements for travelling in the country where the workshop or retreat is taking place.
-
During retreats or workshops, additional services, not included in the offers, may be available (e.g. cooking classes, massage or surfing lessons). These external services are not the responsibility of Yoga Charlène. The participant is aware of this and assumes full liability.
-
As a participant, I understand that by registering for a yoga/meditation retreat, workshop or course, I agree to pay the mentioned price. I understand that it is my responsibility to read carefully the cancellation policy for retreats and workshops in which I would like to participate.
As a participant, I understand that if I cancel, I will lose the deposit made in order to confirm the registration for the workshop or retreat I want to join. This deposit is not refundable.
Cancellations must be made within the specified time (as stated in the retreat booklet) before the event takes place. If not, the remaining amount will have to be paid.
In the unlikely event of cancellation by the instructor: if the course leader is unable to attend the workshop, class or retreat for unforeseen reasons (such as illness, accident or serious personal reasons), Yoga Charlène will provide a replacement course leader if possible. If no suitable, equivalent replacement course leader can be found, Yoga Charlène reserves the right to cancel the workshop/retreat, even at short notice. In this case, the payment for booking the workshop or retreat that is already paid to Yoga Charlène can be transferred to the next retreat. There is no further entitlement to a refund.
-
The Authorised Person and its affiliates reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the course of events, workshops, classes or retreats or any part thereof and to use the resulting photographs, videos or recordings for promotional or commercial purposes without compensation to the participant. Participants will be informed in advance and will be able to withdraw their consent and not appear on the aforementioned objects.
